PI Chapter 2015 Graduates

Vindya Reedy

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelor of Social Work

  • 3-5 year plans: I plan on obtaining my master’s degree in social work, specializing in child welfare at the University of Pittsburgh. I also have plans to gain my license in clinical social work, and pursue a practice in marriage and family therapy.

     

     

Dear Undergraduate Brothers,

Khiray Richards

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology

  • 3-5 year plans: My plan is to build my videography business and work within the sociology field to assist teenagers and young adults. No matter where I am in life, I will continue volunteering and working to better the community.

Anaia Johnson

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing, Minor In Music with emphasis in Music Management

  • 3-5 year plans: I plan to continue my higher education in law school focusing on protecting intellectual properties and transactional deals.

Sonnia Daniels

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting 

  • 3-5 year plans: My goal is to study and sit for the Certified Public Assistant License by 2016. I plan to gain more experience in accounting and complete my finance degree on December 16, 2015. My goal is to work for Ernst & Young financial group. Ultimately, I am seeking employment that will allow me to travel.

 

 

Words of Encouragemnt to My Brothers, 

"Always remember the reason you chose Alpha Kappa Psi and portray your growth in a way that can inspire others to choose us. I encourage Brothers to take confidence in their training and make power moves using their connections and peers. Stay strong and remember to use your resources!"

 

 

Kamala Johnson

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelors of Arts in Journalism, concentration in Public Relations, Minor in Hospitality Administration

  • 3-5 year plans: My post graduate plans include but are not limited to: pursuing my freelancing makeup and event coordinating career full-time, looking for more externship opportunities to gain more experience in my field, and doing things I never got the chance to do! I really want to take acting classes.

  • Degree Earned: Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, concentration in Gender and Sexuality

  • 3-5 year plans: My goal for the future is to work for a Fortune 500 company in the marketing and branding departments. I also plan to return to Georgia State University to receive my MBA in International Business, and work on international marketing campaigns. 

 

Brothers Allow Me to Pass These Words to You, 

"Someone dear to me once told me the 3 things to live by are honor, courage, and commitment. I continue to use these values in everything I do. With honor, always respect those that have already traveled down the path that you are currently on. With courage, don't hold back. Take risks. You will never know what you will get until you try. With commitment, don't give up. In the business world and personal lives, things can get shaky and you may lose hope. However, don't give up. Sometimes the best opportunities need time to develop. "

Brandi Giles

 

  • Degree Earned: Bachelor of Arts in Journalism

  • 3-5 year plans: This summer I will begin my 13 month graduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I will be pursuing my certification in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education.  After I complete this program I will work with local public schools, serving my community, and preparing to move to Orlando as a 2017 Teach For America Corps Member.

 

 

Dear Brothers, 

"Cherish the good and bad moments with the chapter. Everything you experience in the chapter is preparing you for the real world. Remember that no family is perfect, and one thing that will never change is the love and bonds we share as brothers.  Never forget that. "
